Authenticated Content Signing Portal

Features & Benefits

Secure, browser-based signing service: Using your ACS Publisher ID, access the secure, Web-based ACS Portal. Upload your applications for re-signing in real time, track your signing events, purchase additional signing events, and perform other account management functions. It's fully automated, secure, real-time, and available 24x7.

Cost-effective and convenient pricing: VeriSign ACS Portal offers a convenient starter pack (with included free signing events) and a wide choice of signing event bundles so you don't have to invest more than you need based on your particular application development environment.

Support for Privileged Signing Services:  VeriSign ACS Portal offers application developers, wireless carriers and platform vendors alike a unique access control feature that allows only pre-approved developers to access “privileged root” signing services.  This allows greater control to carriers and platform partners to control which ISVs can access privileged root signing services based on additional requirements or other criteria.  VeriSign ACS Portal offers the flexibility and cost effectiveness of using the same ACS Publisher IDs to access privileged signing services also.  Get authenticated by VeriSign once and you can access multiple signing services!

Robust and time-tested authentication and verification process: VeriSign takes the business of authenticating and verifying content developers very seriously because you, as well as your customers, depend on our ability to ensure authenticity. Every certificate is issued only after VeriSign authenticates each customer business to verify its identity, including making contact with the corporate contact listed in the software publisher's application for an ACS Publisher ID.

Tamper-proof, secure delivery of your ACS Publisher ID: On approval of your ACS Publisher ID application, we send you (the Technical Contact listed on the enrolment) an email to enable you to pick up your certificate. In addition, we will send you a blank USB token as soon as your Publisher ID is approved. You install the token and generate the ACS Publisher ID directly onto the token. There is no chance of human error, potential mishandling, or malicious use of your Publisher ID certificate. VeriSign ACS Portal offers peace of mind through a secure order fulfillment process.

Publisher ID on USB token: With VeriSign ACS Portal, you generate your Publisher ID directly onto a USB token that is included in your starter pack. Storing your Publisher ID private key on this USB token allows you to keep it with you and ensures that it can never be copied or transferred to a computer or other storage device. Additionally, you can use any USB-enabled computer to sign your code.

Full featured lifecycle management for ACS Publisher IDs: You also get full-featured lifecycle management features to manage your Publisher ID, including Revoke, Renew, Status, and Search. You can also purchase more Publisher IDs and USB tokens and provide them to other developers at your company so they can share your signing account. A continually updated audit trail is also at your disposal.

Control and security of Root CA: VeriSign's public roots as well as the private roots are maintained in a high security, VeriSign-hardened, Tier 4, military-grade data center ensuring complete security and VeriSign control of the root certificate access.

API for signing applications:  A SOAP-based API is available in addition to the browser-based user interface for signing your applications.  You can use the API to script your signing activities, and integrate your signing activities with your application build process.
