We designed the Registrar Days agenda to tackle the topics and issues that our registrars have told us are important to them.  It will be a data-rich event with presentations and panels, as well as, time for casual discussion.  Some highlights of the agenda include:

Targeting the Consumer

Social Networking
As social networking communities continue to attract members, the number of online identities continues to increase and is reaching new heights.  In this session, we will discuss the drivers behind this phenomenon and look at the consumer behavior that is shaping it.  We will hear some proof points and predictions from a leading social network service provider and have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the opportunities around the transformation of a social network subscriber into a domain name registrant.  We will look at the trends that are developing in both the new and user-generated media space and the opportunities these bring to traditional and new domain name distributors.

Mobile Market
Our product and engineering teams will discuss the growth in mobile content and suggest optimal methods for supporting mobile enabled Web browsing and enhancing the experience of the Web site visitor while matching the branding needs of the Web site owner.

Expanding into International Markets
With more than 79 percent of the world's Internet users located outside of North America, international markets are an increasingly attractive target for domain name registrations.  This session will offer insights and data to help registrars better target international customers.  We will explore key areas for success including market selection, market entrance strategies, best practices and Internationalized Domain Names.

State of the Domain Name Industry
The domain name industry continues its strong growth globally ending the first quarter with 128 million domain name registrations across all of the TLDs.  This session explores the current trends and key performance indicators of our industry including growth metrics and drivers, industry composition, and opportunities for growth.

A Practical Solution for your Business Needs
Learn how you can create targeted domain name registration lists to support your marketing and customer retention strategies by leveraging VeriSign’s Internet Profile Service.  This powerful analytics engine combines multiple attributes including industry classification, Web site functionality and geo-location to deliver business information that enables registrars to be better positioned for changes in the domain name registration space, for marketing activities and for new business opportunities.  This session will explore the advanced features of the Internet Profile Service including the new attributes that are planned for availability as well as opportunities for custom reports that meet your own unique needs.

Reaching new segments with new products
Human resource professionals continually search for more effective methods to attract the best and brightest candidates.  Listen as Gary Rubin, Chief Publishing Officer for the Society for Human Resource Management, discusses the HR community and some surprising trends as members start to effectively recruit using their .jobs domain name.  See how the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management has started to promote .jobs as an essential resource available to recruiting professionals.

Avoiding Costs through Web Self-Service
Maximizing the financial benefits of self-service happens only when an organization decides to make self-service its primary support channel.  Join Lori Harmon, VeriSign VP of Global Customer Support and find out how to get and maintain senior management support for self-service initiatives, how to include specific goals for increases in Web site usage in employee performance objectives, and how to involve customers in the support Web site design process. See how to utilize rigorous usability testing methodologies and a variety of ongoing survey techniques, and how a thorough review of customer-facing communications can help ensure that your self-service Web site is consistently listed as the primary source of valuable information.

The Public is your audience
Reaching the masses is a critical strategy when you want to create buzz around your brand name and your products and services. David Nieland, Sr. Vice President of Weber Shandwick, a global public relations firm, will share PR best practices to help you leverage the media to reach your audience. Hear about activities and tactics to generate awareness and demand for your products and services, and ways to reach the various segments of your audience.
